(in reverse order of appearance).

LOS LOBOS 5:00 pm - 6:15 pm

Los Lobos has prevailed for more than three decades. In answer to the question posed by their debut album 23 years ago: These wolves have not only survived; they’ve absolutely thrived. More than any other California band, Los Lobos can be best described as eclectic. East L.A.’s favorite sons excel at every form of modern roots music. You name it – hard R & B and blues, Tex-Mex, country, pop rock, folk music, ethereal psychedelia, gorgeous ballads, or pure, raucous garage rock ‘n’ roll— these guys have delivered it in spades while remaining true to the pure Mexican music that brought them together as teenagers. The Town and The City is their latest Hollywood Records release.

THE TOMMY CASTRO BAND 3:25 pm - 4:25 pm

Tommy Castro is one of the most popular and creative roots artists to emerge in recent years. Since he first started the Tommy Castro Band sixteen years ago, Tommy's career has been marked by one triumph after another. He's gone from performing at a tiny San Francisco saloon to opening act on B.B. King's national tours and international acclaim as one of the most compelling artists on the scene. Not surprising, given his innate charisma and skills as a supremely talented guitarist, gifted vocalist, and engaging songwriter.

ROY ROGERS & THE DELTA RHYTHM KINGS 1:50 - 3:05 pm

Roy Rogers is one of the premier slide guitarists performing today. With eight solo recordings, he has also been nominated for two Grammy Awards and 6 Grammy credits as the producer of John Lee Hooker and Ramblin' Jack Elliott releases. His musical talents have been featured on numerous film & TV soundtracks, most notably 'One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest' and also 'The Hot Spot' which he recorded with Miles Davis, John Lee Hooker and Taj Mahal and garnered a Grammy nomination.

ALBERT CUMMINGS 12:20 pm - 1:30 pm

After a SCREAMING good performance at CBL 2007, we had to ask our friend Albert back to the 2008 festival. Old fans and new fans alike said the same thing about Albert, “boy that guy CAN PLAY!” Breaking every cliché associated with the blues while producing some of the most powerful music of the 21st century comes as natural to Albert Cummings as swinging a hammer while constructing one of his award-winning custom built homes.

CURTIS SALGADO 11:00 am - Noon

Curtis kicked off his recording career with Curtis Salgado & the Stilettos in 1991, following it up with More Than You Can Chew in 1995. The more acoustic Hit It and Quit It scored him a spot with Steve Miller on Late Night With Conan O’Brien. His three most recent albums for Shanachie Entertainment (Wiggle Outta This, Soul Activated and Strong Suspicion) featured guest appearances by Jimmy Vaughan, Lou Ann Barton, The Memphis Horns, Bekka Bramlett, Sonny Landreth and Duke Robillard to name a few. Soul Activated was received with critical acclaim and even garnered a WC Handy Blues Award nomination in the category of “Soul Blues Album of the Year.” Curtis is currently recording in Los Angeles for his next yet to titled album for Shanachie and is finally poised for the breakthrough that seemed to be his destiny early on. For the first time, all the pieces are in place for an artist who has paid his dues, made his mistakes and had his share of band breaks but has persevered.
